Roundup-Launchpad Mapping
This is a visual mapping between the user interface of the old Silva issue tracker and the Launchpad bug tracker. A legend follows below the screenshots.
Legend
- 1. Edit details
- Unfold the arrow to show the controls.
- 2. Search
- Search Silva bugs only. The search field at the top of the screen searches all of Launchpad.
- 3. Report a bug in Silva (Create new)
- After submitting Launchpad will return a list of similar bugs based on your title. If you don’t find any matches, proceed.
- 4. Attachment
- Attach a comment, patch, or file.
- 5. Assigned to
- Search for the user name of the person to assign this bug to. The search includes all Launchpad users (there are a lot of similar names).
- 6. Importance (Priority)
- Rate the bug with an appropriate importance.
- 7. Subscribe (Nosy List)
- Subscribe yourself or someone else. People already subscribed are listed in the portlet under search.
- 8. Status
- Optionally give the bug a status. Probably someone else should confirm it.
- 9. Edit description/tags (Topic)
- The old Roundup topics have been converted into tags, e.g. silva-1.6, silva-2.0, snn. Tags for a bug are listed at the bottom right of the description.
- 0. Comment
- Add a comment in the details, or click “Add a comment/attachment”. Note that the latest comments are at the end of the page.
The history of a bug can be viewed under “View activity log” in the left menu.
Finding old issues
A redirecting facility is in place where bugs from the old tracker are automatically redirected to the corresponding Launchpad issue. Given an old issue number NNNN, you’ll get to the new page on Launchpad at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/silva-NNNN
